Minnesota United FC got a last-minute goal from Christian Ramirez and took a 3-2 victory Sunday over host Ottawa Fury FC.

The victory kept Minnesota (8-1-3) first in the push for the No. 1 overall playoff seed.

The 2-2 deadlock held strong until the 89th minute when Minnesota found a gap in the Ottawa defense. Aaron Pitchkolan played a long ball down the left side of the field that Miguel Ibarra reached just before it went out of bounds.

The midfielder crossed the ball into the middle of the penalty area and found Ramirez running in just above the goalkeeper's box. Ramirez blasted the ball past goalkeeper Romauld Peiser to secure the late victory for United.

Daniel Mendes and Ibarra also scored for United.

With the result, Minnesota remains on top of the NASL Fall and Combined standings and picked up all six points from the two-game road trip that included a victory at San Antonio last weekend.

United returns home to play Atlanta on Saturday at the National Sports Center in Blaine..
