United States defeats Sweden 2-0 in World Cup, plays Spain next

Defending champion United States continues its quest to repeat as World Cup champion today with its match against Sweden. Both teams are 2-0, and the match will determine seeding for single-elimination play in the tournament's knockout round.
The knockout round, which includes 16 teams, begins Saturday. The United States and Sweden will play on Monday.
