The United Negro College Fund threw a masked ball. But it wasn't all about wearing fanciful disguises. MASKED also is an acronym for Mankind Assisting Students Kindle Educational Dreams. For the third annual black-tie benefit, guests donned masks — and smiles — as they were treated to a formal dinner, live auction and dancing to music mixed by a DJ. Proceeds from the event will go to organization's Twin Cities Hope Scholarship, which provides metro-area students with the support and financial aid they need to attend and graduate from college.
