Unbelted driver dies in rollover crash near Brainerd

The crash occurred while the pickup was exiting the highway, the patrol said.

A driver crashed his pickup truck near Brainerd and was killed Tuesday, authorities said.

The wreck occurred about 9:20 a.m. Tuesday as the pickup exited southbound Hwy. 371 onto the business spur in Baxter, according to the State Patrol.

Wyatt E. Jacobs, 46, of Brainerd, died at the scene. The patrol said Jacobs was not wearing a seat belt.
