Teammates from the women's softball squad at the University of Minnesota Duluth joined more than 1,000 friends and family members mourning Mandy Matula at Eden Prairie's Grace Church on Sunday, where it was announced that her uniform number – 14 – had been retired.
Volunteers led by her brother Steven had searched for Matula since her disappearance in early May. Her body was discovered late last month by a hiker in a park near Sartell.
