A new Twin Cities line of baby clothes has been announced to the world in a big way -- on the TV show "Cougar Town."

In a recent episode, one of the show's main characters found out he had a baby he didn't know about. The adorable tot wore Über Baby Lifestyles outfits, designed by Edina resident Lynne Gonsior.

Last spring, Gonsior met a "Cougar Town" executive producer at a Hollywood party. Months later, the designer received an e-mail from the show's costume supervisor, Heidi Higginbotham.

Two outfits were featured on the baby's debut episode last week and more will be shown throughout the season.

"This line is very colorful, and the patterns are distinct," Higginbotham said. "On TV, it's much more fun to see pop-y colors."

The Über Baby Lifestyles collection will launch online (www.uberbabylifestyles.com) in mid-April, selling for $14 to $29. A limited assortment also is available in a pop-up shop (11 a.m. to 2 p.m., 601 Marquette Av. S., skyway, Mpls.) that will close after Thursday.
