As if any band would bail on the opportunity to open for U2 -- and U2's not one to reneg on another band, either -- Interpol has been re-announced as the opener for U2's make-up date next summer at TCF Bank Stadium, July 23. The moody New York rockers were also supposed to play with them this past summer before the tour was postponed for Bono's back surgery. Too bad Florence & the Machines, whom Twin Citians are eager to see, wasn't added to our show as they were to dates in Michigan and Florida. But we also could have wound up with while Lenny Kravitz, who's opening in other cities.

Perhaps the most noteworthy part of the new 360 Tour announcement was the fact that tickets are now available again for the Minneapolis date, which originally sold out within a couple hours. It seems some folks didn't want to let U2 and Live Nation hold onto their money for a year and asked for refunds. Big mistake, I'd say.
