U student from Lakeville in running for Sheen's social media gig

Shannah Henderson's dad is stoked that his daughter is in the running to be Charlie Sheen's social media intern. But her boyfriend is not so hot on the idea.

Charlie Sheen is going to try to get in your pants, Henderson said her boyfriend Steve has protested.

Listen to your boyfriend...this time.

"He just wishes it was somebody else" looking for an intern, said Henderson, whose first name is pronounced Shawn-nah and whose video submission can be viewed at www.startribune.com/a280.

Relax, Steve. Wouldn't think the chances are good that your girlfriend could beat out 49 other people to become the social media intern for the troubled, promiscuous, possibly drug-using, former, and for all we know, future, star of CBS's "Two and a Half Men."

Of course, who'd have imagined a 2008 graduate of Lakeville South and "U" junior majoring in strategic communications with an emphasis in PR could have survived to reach the final 50 of an applicant pool that reportedly totaled 82,000?

"Things look very promising right now," Henderson told me Wednesday.

Smart move, since she tweets like Sheen: "I will keep the Sheeniacs salivating for more day-to-day controversy," she tweeted as part of the competition.

She coins Sheeneccentric terms with ease.

Obsheenity was Wednesday's new word. Definition: "An obscene or indecent act that everyone else wishes they were doing."

And she sounds like an absolute Sheenatic: "I just find him so influential. Just the fact that he doesn't let people tell him what to do -- Charlie, be normal. No, he's not. He's the most high-profile person right now in America. I think he should be president. He's the most inspirational person in America right now. He knows everyone in society tries to be normal and conform to accepted social norms and he goes completely against them. That's why I love him so much."

Her dad, Richard Henderson of Lakeville, "loves Charlie Sheen, loves his show, thinks he's figured everything out about our society, and I agree," she said.

"My dad would probably be very happy about it because he would be able to hang out with [Charlie] every day," said Henderson. But she can't date Charlie because of Steve, who "supports all my actions," she said, but not this one.

Steve "is totally not happy that I'm doing this. You know what. I can control myself, and I totally will," Henderson told me, just before she dropped a bombshell.

"My best friend is..." Later Henderson called to ask that I withhold the rest of that information. Let's just say her best friend, who lives in Hollywood, may already have run into Sheen. "She likes [Sheen]," said Henderson. "Everyone does."

Think again. Remember Steve? And then there's Henderson's California grandmother, who "thinks [Sheen's] very obscene. She thinks he's crazy, completely out of control and outrageous. She wishes me the best of luck but wishes this didn't have to do with him.

"I want to be his intern because he influences me to be who I am and never change for anyone."

Has she noticed that Sheen seems to have a promiscuous lifestyle with goddesses? "He does, but I do crazy stuff, too. I go to clubs on weekends. No, I don't have a promiscuous life style," she laughed.
