A U.S. marshal has been hospitalized after being struck by a driver this morning on the West Bank just east of downtown, according to a Minneapolis Police Department spokesman.
The Marshal was hit about 9 a.m. near the intersection of South 2nd Street and 14th Avenue South, a busy intersection known as Seven Corners. Authorities say they believe the Marshal was struck intentionally and is under evaluation. He was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center. His condition is unknown. Authorities would not reveal the circumstances of the incident.
