The dean of the Graduate School at the University of Minnesota has resigned.
Gail Dubrow, the school's dean and vice provost, will end her term June 30. The resignation comes amid controversy over the possible restructuring of the Graduate School into a department within the provost's office.
Dubrow declined to comment on the resignation or the school's restructuring. "Nobody actually knows what the plan is beyond this resignation, not even me," she said.
Spokesman Daniel Wolter said the university expects to announce an interim head of graduate education before Dubrow's term ends.
Before being appointed dean, Dubrow was professor of architecture, landscape architecture, urban design and planning, with adjunct appointments in history and women's studies at the University of Washington, according to the U's website.
