Jerry Kill checked himself into the Mayo Clinic on Sunday for after suffering another seizure, and the Gophers coach will remain away for the team for an undetermined period of time, the university announced.

"The seizures continue to be a concern for me and my family," the coach, who confided last week that he had suffered more than 20 subsequent seizures after the one that struck during a Gophers football Sept. 10, said in a prepared statement. "Rebecca and I have made the decision to do what it takes to find a solution. I hope to be back to work soon, but we believe that taking some time away to get a handle on this is the right thing to do."

The statement makes no projection about how long Kill's stay in the Rochester, Minn., hospital will last. The Gophers, 1-3 after Saturday's loss to North Dakota State, face Michigan next Saturday in Ann Arbor.
