Minneapolis police have two suspects in custody in connection with an early morning double shooting in Minneapolis.

A man and a woman were hospitalized Saturday morning with non-life threatening gunshot wounds after being shot on the 2700 block of E. Lake Street. Police responded to the incident around 1:55 a.m. Both were taken to Hennepin County Medical Center.

Suspects fled east in a dark vehicle but were stopped a short time later by police. One passenger fled from the scene on Interstate 94 at the St. Paul city line, but two other adult occupants in the car — one man and one woman — were taken into custody.
