Two people were stabbed Sunday afternoon at the Mall of America in Bloomington, police said.

Their injuries were not life-threatening, said Bloomington Deputy Police Chief Mike Hartley.

The attack was not random, he said; there was an altercation and victims apparently knew their attacker.

A male suspect is in custody.

The incident happened about 5:30 p.m. on the third level of mall's east side, Hartley said.
