Two people were found dead Tuesday morning at a farmstead in northwestern Minnesota, according to authorities.
The Mahnomen County Sheriff's Office responded to a 911 call of a shooting at a residence located about 11 miles northeast of the city of Mahnomen, according to a news release.
Authorities found a 71-year-old woman inside the residence and a 75-year-old man in a Quonset hut outside the home. An autopsy will determine the cause of death. Names are being withheld pending notification of family, according to the news release.
The White Earth police and the state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension are joining the sheriff's office in the investigation.
