Shakopee police said Friday that they arrested two men in connection with a Thursday shooting death at a mobile home park.

Police were called to Valley Haven at 5:01 p.m. Thursday and found an 18-year-old man dead from gunshot wounds.

Police Chief Jeff Tate said that the shooting was not a random act and that there was no threat to the public.

The two men arrested are both Shakopee residents and are 19 and 21.

The 19-year-old was booked into the Scott County jail at 9:45 p.m. Thursday on suspicion of felony obstruction of an investigation.

The 21-year-old was booked at 2:20 a.m. on suspicion of third-degree murder.

The Star Tribune typically does not name suspects until they are charged.

"We are confident the person responsible for the death is in custody; however, this remains an ongoing investigation," Tate said.

Authorities have not identified the man who was killed.
