Two Wisconsin men have been indicted for their alleged roles in a bank robbery in western Wisconsin that left a third suspect dead.

Robert H. McCallie, 22, of Kennan, Wis., and Steven R. Willard, 19, of Phillips were charged this week in court in Madison, Wis., with armed bank robbery and brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence. The charges carry a maximum penalty of 32 years in federal prison.

They were scheduled to make initial appearances in court Friday afternoon.

The indictment says the two men robbed a Sawyer County bank in October. A third suspect fled in a car and was later killed in a shootout with officers, according to the Wisconsin State Patrol.
