Two home tours coming up in Dayton's Bluff

April 21, 2013 at 2:23AM

The Dayton's Bluff neighborhood of St. Paul's East Side, known for its restored historic homes and scenic views, again will host home tours during the next two weekends.

The Minneapolis & St. Paul Home Tour, which runs April 27-28, will include eight area residences — two renovated as part of the East 4th Street Preservation Project. They are at 685-7 and 693 E. 4th St., said Karin DuPaul, the neighborhood's community organizer.

Home tour information is available at metro area libraries and at http://msphometour.com.

On May 5, from 1 to 5 p.m., the Dayton's Bluff Community Council will host a vacant home tour. The event is an effort to save homes rather than have them torn down. Eight to 10 homes will be featured this year, DuPaul said. Maps and loan information will be available at 798 E. 7th St.

For more information, call DuPaul at 651-772-2075 or visit www.daytonsbluff.org.
