TWO HARBORS, MINN. - A school bus driver in northern Minnesota has been arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting four female elementary school students, authorities said Thursday.
The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office said the 62-year-old man was arrested at his home in Two Harbors on Tuesday after a nearly three-week investigation.
The man, who has not been charged, was being held in the St. Louis County jail Thursday evening.
The man, who has worked for the school district for 38 years, was a part-time school bus driver before being put on administrative leave March 19 after several parents reported that their children said they had been assaulted by the driver. He also worked as a full-time janitor at Two Harbors High School.
Police say it was during his duties as a bus driver that he allegedly assaulted the girls, who were between 6 and 10 years old.
