The deals at Restaurant.com are fantastic when they have an 80 percent off sale. The most recent one started today if you use FLAG as the discount code to get an additional amount off. That's a $25 gift certificate for $2.
The deals at TC Originals aren't as good. Usually they only have sales a couple times a year at 30 percent off. The TCO restaurants are independent, chef-driven---and rarely show up on Restaurant.com too. I just got an email from TC Originals that they are offering 40 percent off five local restaurants (Afton House Inn, Cork's Irish Pub, Dancing Ganesha, Whitney Bistro and Wooley's Steakhouse).
In the past I've liked TC originals for discounts at restaurants such as Murray's that rarely if ever appear on Restaurant.com, but this isn't one of those times. As much I like supporting local businesses, only two of the restaurants (Afton House and Whitney Bistro) are exclusive to TCO right now. The other three (Cork's, Ganesha and Wooeley's) are also on Restaurant.com at a deeper discount.
