Two teenagers were arrested Wednesday night in connection with a shooting Saturday morning outside a Foot Locker store in a Brooklyn Center strip mall, authorities said Thursday.

The shooting happened just before 10 a.m. at 1580 Shingle Creek Parkway, after an argument about new Air Jordan shoes or a dispute about the line of people waiting to buy the in-demand shoes, said Cmdr. Tony Gruenig of the Brooklyn Center police.

Two people were injured, but are expected to survive.

The arrests were made by the Hennepin County Violent Offender Task Force. The two suspects "have extensive past experience with law enforcement," Gruenig said. Investigators are looking for additional suspects.

"There were a lot of people there, and we don't have an abundance of witnesses coming forward," Gruenig said.

Anyone with information about the shooting or who took cellphone video or pictures at the scene are asked to call Gruenig at 763-503-3203 or CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
