Two men were arrested Thursday evening in connection with the robbery of a bank in St. Paul's Battle Creek neighborhood.

According to police, men ages 36 and 31 stole an undisclosed amount of money shortly before 7 p.m. at TCF Bank, 1988 Suburban Av., and then fled.

Police pursued their vehicle on Interstate 94 and made the arrest a short time later in Minneapolis near Cedar Avenue. They recovered a revolver, masks and gloves, and a satchel containing money in various denominations.

Police later learned the suspects also allegedly pointed a gun at a bank patron filling out a deposit slip and took $100 from him.

The FBI said the men will make their initial appearance in federal court in Minneapolis next week. They were being held Friday at the Ramsey County jail.
