ALDS GAME 3 TWINS vs. NEW YORK YANKEES

(Yankees lead best-of-five series 2-0)

Monday, 7:40 p.m., Target Field (FS1) • Weather forecast: 55 degrees at game time

Pitching matchup: Yankees RHP Luis Severino vs. Twins RHP Jake Odorizzi. Severino pitched in only three games after missing most of the season because of injuries. Odorizzi (15-7, 3.51 ERA) was an All-Star.

Game 1: The host Yankees won 10-4 Friday behind three hits and four RBI from first baseman D.J. LeMahieu.

Game 2: Didi Gregorius' grand slam helped the Yankees to an 8-2 victory at The Stadium.

Game 4 (if necessary): Tuesday night at Target Field.

The streak: The Twins have lost 15 consecutive playoff games, an MLB record. The record for consecutive playoff losses among the four major sports is 16, by the Chicago Blackhawks (1975-80).

Yankee curse: New York is 15-2 in playoff games vs. the Twins since 2003, winning four series and a wild card game in that span.
