Twins v. Braves: Plouffe is here, batting 2nd.

Twins and Braves play the first of three

June 11, 2010 at 10:28PM

The left side of the infield has a Rochester look to it, with Trevor Plouffe and Danny Valencia starting today. Plouffe is batting second, as Twins manager Ron Gardenhire prefers to leave Joe Mauer in the No.3 hole.

Tim Hudson is 6-2 with a 2.12 ERA in his career against the Twins but hasn't faced them since 2007.

Denard Span still can't believe Joe Mauer's drive in the third inning yesterday didn't fall in for a hit. ``I thought I did everything right," he said. It didn't, as Span was doubled up at second and Nick Punto failed to score before the out was made. ``You just have to turn the page," Span said.
