To make room for Hoying, the Rangers placed catcher Bryan Holaday on the 15-day DL because of a bruised left thumb. Holaday made an emergency pitching appearance during the Twins’ 17-5 victory against the Rangers on Saturday. … The Rangers also called up RH reliever Jose Leclerc from Round Rock on Tuesday and designated LF Michael Roth for assignment.


It’s a small sample size, but Eddie Rosario is showing signs of better discipline at the plate.
