The Twins don't have much to offer fantasy baseball leagues in 2016, according to several preseason rankings.
The only players with significant value in ESPN's Top 300 rankings are Miguel Sano and Brian Dozier. ESPN ranked Sano No. 33 with dollar values of $22 and $23 for its Rotisserie leagues, and Dozier ranked No. 47 with values of $19 and $21.
Sano is ranked No. 25 and Dozier No. 37 in ESPN's leagues that use a head-to-head points format. These are the only Twins ranked in the top 130 in either poll. The next highest-ranked player is Byung-ho Park, ranked No. 135 and No. 144, respectively, and he has yet to play a single game in the big leagues.
Sano and Dozier are also the most-coveted Twins in Yahoo's Top 300 rankings, but not as valuable as ESPN considers them. Sano is ranked No. 54 and Dozier No. 72. Glen Perkins is the next to appear on Yahoo's list, but not until No. 170. Park is ranked No. 231 behind Kyle Gibson at No. 227.
Former No. 2 overall pick Byron Buxton is ranked No. 274 and 224 by ESPN, and 285 by Yahoo. Carlos Correa, the No. 1 overall pick from the 2012 MLB draft, is ranked No. 11, 15 and 11, respectively in the three fantasy polls.
The lack of interest in the Twins' talent is mostly rated on last year's results. Would you build your fantasy team with anyone on the Twins roster? If so, tell us who and why in the comment section.
