After ending a 10-game, 11-day West Coast road trip 6-4, they have occupied first place in the AL Central for 32 days in a row. They lost two of three at Seattle last week, losing the second game when Mike Zunino hit a two-run, walk-off homer. … This 11-game homestand is the Twins' only homestand of June. They are 12-18 at home but have lost five in a row and 10 of 14. … They have won the season series with the Mariners for four consecutive seasons and nine of 12. But they are only 13-13 against Seattle at Target Field. … Santana, third in the AL in ERA, has given up six home runs to Mariners 2B Robinson Cano, who is 14-for-42 (.333) in his career.

MARINERS UPDATE

The Twins' 2-1 victory Thursday ended Seattle's five-game winning streak. The Mariners then lost two of three to Toronto. They are 13 games behind Houston in the AL West. … Seattle is without RF Mitch Haniger, SS Jean Segura and pitchers Drew Smyly, Felix Hernandez and Hisashi Iwakuma, all injured. … Former Twins 3B Danny Valencia is 11-for-29 (.379) against his former team, with two home runs. … DH Nelson Cruz, who missed four games last week because of a sore calf, has returned to the lineup. He is tied with Miguel Sano for AL RBI lead (46).
