Lost in the shuffle of last night's 14-inning marathon between the Twins and Brewers is this little gem: rookie Chris Colabello, the ultimate underdog story from the Can-Am League to the majors, entered the game as a pinch hitter in the ninth inning. He reached on an error but was stranded.
Nothing remarkable about that, except ...
He was wearing the wrong jersey.
Yes, while every other Twins player was wearing the navy "Minnesota" uniform tops, Colabello had the navy "Twins" top on.
We're guessing the Worcester Tornadoes, one of his former teams, probably didn't have two similarly colored but different jerseys, so we'll give Colabello a pass. But still: funny.
