Twins: Post washout update

Steady rain washed out the Twins' game against the Rays on Wednesday, leading to all kinds of roster juggling to ensure players remained on the right path to Opening Day

The Twins had to scramble to make sure players got their work in after the game was canceled. Coaches swept the clubhouse after the announcement, checking with players to make sure they knew where they were going tomorrow.

Righthander Mike Pelfrey, Tuesday's starter, will now join Class AAA Rochester on a road trip to Sarasota on Wednesday.

Josh Willingham, Jamey Carroll, Ryan Doumit, Justin Morneau and Joe Mauer - all of whom were in the starting lineup on
Tuesday - will head down the road to the minor league complex and get some swings in spring training games there. And Liam Hendriks, as scheduled, will start at Tampa against the Yankees. Cole De Vries will follow him.

``Everybody is going to be doing something, and I do mean everybody," Gardenhire said.
