The Twins are 5-9 at home this month. … C Kurt Suzuki has heated up, batting .344 with three doubles, two homers and eight RBI over his past nine games. That includes a home run off an 102-mile-per-hour fastball from Yankees closer Aroldis Chapman on Saturday. Since May 28, Suzuki has added 47 points to his batting average. … Manager Paul Molitor had Brandon Kintzler notch a four-out save Sunday, but Fernando Abad was warming up in the ninth if there was trouble. ... Then they began to play to those expectations; with Monday's 3-1 loss to Arizona, the Phillies have lost seven in a row and 24 of 30. … Nola was the No. 7 overall pick in 2014 out of LSU and quickly became one of their top pitching prospects. He was 5-4 with a 2.65 ERA through 12 starts this season but has lasted just 6⅔ innings over his past two starts, giving up 10 earned runs. … Nola, Morgan and Eickhoff are facing the Twins for the first time. Eickhoff has a 2.13 ERA over his past four starts, but he did give up two homers in his last outing.
