Gates open: 1 p.m.

Ceremonial first pitch: Rick Stelmaszek, Twins bullpen coach from 1981-2012. His 32 consecutive seasons with one team is third-longest in MLB history.

National anthem: Minneapolis-based rapper Dessa was scheduled to sing the national anthem, accompanied by a Minnesota Orchestra brass quintet, but she announced via Twitter this morning that she has cancelled because of illness. The quintet will perform by itself.

Tributes: Twins minor league pitcher Yorman Landa and Kansas City pitcher Yordano Ventura were both killed in offseason auto accidents, and the teams will wear commemorative patches.

Freebies: The first 30,000 fans will get blue long-sleeved Twins hooded T-shirts.

Pregame events: Breakfast on the Plaza, 6-9 a.m. DJ Advance performs on Target Plaza balcony, noon-2:15 p.m. Flyover by four F-16s.
