Twins officially announce Doumit signing

The catcher agreed to terms on a one-year, $3 million deal last Friday

The Twins announced today that they have officially signed catcher Ryan Doumit to a one-year deal.

Doumit, 30, agreed to terms last Friday and passed his physical this week. He signed for $3 million with up to $250,000 in incentives, based on plate appearances.

Doumit batted .303 with eight homers and 30 RBI in 77 games last year for the Pirates.
