The Twins offered salary arbitration to free agents Carl Pavano, Jesse Crain and Orlando Hudson but declined to offer arbitration to Matt Guerrier, Brian Fuentes and Jon Rauch, General Manager Bill Smith said tonight in an e-mail.
The Hudson decision was the biggest surprise, since there have been indications the Twins are ready to let Hudson sign elsewhere. Hudson, Crain and Pavano have until Nov. 30 to decide whether to accept arbitration, which would keep them on a one-year contract at a salary determined through the arbitration process.
I'll have more on these decisions in a story posted later tonight.
