Coming off a 5-6 road trip, they return home for seven games leading into the All-Star break. They are 16-25 at Target Field and have lost five of their past seven games there. … They won three of four games against the Angels in Anaheim last month. They are 13-13 all-time against the Angels at Target Field, including a three-game sweep last season, their first three victories of 2016 after an 0-9 start. … Twins starting pitchers have a 4.87 cumulative ERA, worse than all but Baltimore (5.62) in the American League. … Santana pitched for the Angels from 2005 to '12. He's 1-3 with a 6.20 ERA in four career starts against them. … Closer Brandon Kintzler has 21 saves, one fewer than league leader Craig Kimbrel of Boston, in 24 opportunities this season.

ANGELS UPDATE

The Angels went 14-13 in April, 14-15 in May and 14-14 in June. They are 20-24 on the road. … OF Mike Trout, who has a 1.040 OPS and four home runs in 16 career games at Target Field, remains on the disabled list after surgery to repair a torn ligament in his left thumb in May. … Meyer, traded by the Twins last year, gave up only one hit in six innings against the Dodgers in his previous start. But his 37 walks are sixth-most in the AL. … Three of Albert Pujols' 602 career home runs have come at Target Field. … Closer Huston Street (lat strain) has returned after missing nearly three months, but he has yet to pitch in a save situation. Bud Norris has converted 11 of 13 save situations in his absence.
