TWINS UPDATE

They have lost eight of their past 10 games in Houston and last year scored four runs in three games there. … They have not yet decided who will start the series finale vs. Justin Verlander. A bullpen game, perhaps started by Adalberto Mejia, is a possibility if their relief corps is not overtaxed in the first two games, or a starter could be summoned from the minor leagues. RHP Zack Littell is scheduled to start for Class AAA Rochester on Wednesday. … Wade Miley will be the first lefthanded starter the Twins will face this season.

ASTROS UPDATE

After a 2-5 start to the season, they won 10 straight games, the third season in a row they have had a double-digit winning streak. … Their 3.23 staff ERA is second-best in the AL after Tampa Bay, and their 2.51 bullpen ERA is the league's best. … RHP Roberto Osuna is 7-for-7 in save opportunities. … Entering Sunday, they were only 12th in the AL in runs scored, with 88, but they have allowed just 67 runs, second-fewest in the AL. They have allowed only 20 home runs. … They are without RHP Lance McCullers Jr. (elbow surgery) and RHP Joe Smith (Achilles' tendon).
