Twins manager Ron Gardenhire, while talking about Harmon Killebrew's funeral service went, was asked about how the team has handled the situation.

``My players have handled this very, very well, the whole situation," he said. ``There have been a lot of questions and a lot of talk and I think the players have stood up and have been very accountable about answering questions and talking about Harmon, which I think is really cool. I think they have done a super, super job."

Gardenhire was pleased with the turnout. It meant a lot for him to have the players present to hear what people had to say about Killebrew, who died on Tuesday after a five-month battle with esophageal cancer.

He also notices the confidence level of his team rising after winning three straight games.

``Our guys are starting to feel a little bit better about themselves and that's half the battle," Gardenhire said. ``.Gottal get the players believing in themselves that we can get it done and, over the last thee games, they feel pretty good about themselves."

Scott Ullger is coaching third base tonight. Steve Liddle has a sore calf muscle.
