TWINS UPDATE

They have won seven of eight to move within a half-game of a wild card. They are 5-8 vs. Cleveland this season but 0-7 at home, outscored 48-15 in those games. … Gibson is winless in his past five starts vs. the Indians, posting a 5.74 ERA. … Colon is 7-4 with a 3.81 ERA against the team that brought him to the big leagues in 1997. … RF Max Kepler is 1-for-7 against Carrasco and 1-for-8 against Clevinger. But seven of his 31 career home runs have come against Cleveland.

INDIANS UPDATE

They have won four in a row and lead the AL Central by five games over the Twins. … They are 33-25 on the road and 25-21 within the AL Central. … Nine of their AL-high 11 shutouts have come on the road. … They rank eighth in runs scored in the AL, just ahead of the Twins, but they have given up only 448 runs, easily the fewest in the league. … 3B Jose Ramirez is seventh in the AL in batting average (.310), first in doubles (37) and third in triples (five).
