They have lost seven games in a row and 11 of 12. Their 8-25 record is the worst start in franchise history. They are 2-15 on the road and have lost their past five in a row. … They won two of three vs. the Indians last month in Target Field and won the season series last season 12-7, including 5-4 in Cleveland. … Nolasco can become the first Twins starter to record his second victory of the season. He has given four or more runs in his past three starts. … Kevin Jepsen is 2-for-5 in save situations, but hasn't had a save opportunity yet in May.

INDIANS UPDATE

They have won six of nine to climb into second place in the AL Central, five games behind the White Sox. They are 8-6 at home, 5-1 in their past six. … Their 118 runs against are fewest in the AL. … Cody Allen is 8-for-8 in save situations, but he has a 4.91 ERA and three times has given up at least one run after entering in a tie game. … 1B Mike Napoli leads the Indians in home runs with seven, but he also ranks fourth in the AL with 43 strikeouts. He is 7-for-19 (.368) with three homers and 10 RBI against Santana, Napoli's batterymate from his days catching with the Angels.
