TWINS UPDATE

They are 6-5 against Chicago this season but 1-2 at U.S. Cellular Field. They have lost the season series to the White Sox only twice in the past 13 seasons. ... Former White Sox infielder Eduardo Escobar has batted only .222 with two home runs in 21 games against his former team. ... LF Josh Willingham is 9-for-18 with three home runs against Sunday's starter, Jose Quintana.

WHITE SOX UPDATE

LHP Chris Sale allowed three runs in four starts in July and has given up more than three runs only once all year. Lefthanders are batting .129 against him. ... 1B Jose Abreu went 3-for-3 Thursday to extend his hitting streak to 20 games (and 38 of his last 39), the longest by a White Sox player since 2004. Abreu also had an 18-game streak in June, making him the second Sox player (Hall of Famer Eddie Collins in 1920 is the other) to have two such streaks in a season.
