The Twins will play the NL West in interleague play next season, according to the 2011 schedule that was released on Tuesday

The Twins will open 2011 on the road with visits to Toronto and the Yankees. The season opener is Friday, Apr. 1 at the Blue Jays. MLB Commissioner Bud Selig announced earlier this year that he was starting the season a little earlier so the World Series could not leak into November.

The Target Field opener is scheduled for Friday, Apr. 8 against Oakland.

San Diego (June 17-19) and the Los Angeles Dodgers (June 28-30) will visit Target Field next year while the Twins play road interleague games at Arizona (May 20-22), San Francisco (June 21-23) and Milwaukee (June 24-26).

The Brewers will make their annual visit July 1-3. The Yankees will make their only appearance of the season for a four-game series Aug. 18-21.

The entire 2011 schedule will be available in Wednesday's editions of the Star Tribune and should be online tonight around 11 p.m.
