Drugs. An officer responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 20900 block of NE. Johnson Street. The officer made contact with the occupant of the vehicle and could smell marijuana. Marijuana and other drugs were found in the vehicle, and the 21-year-old woman was arrested.

JAN. 7

Weapon. A 20-year-old man was arrested for possession of a stolen firearm and possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle, and a 17-year-old girl was arrested for possession of a stolen firearm following a traffic stop at Hwy. 100 and Benton Avenue.

Suspicious activity. A woman reported that her mother received a suspicious text message in the area of Marion Lane. She said her mother and 18 other unknown telephone numbers received a text message quoting Dr. Seuss. An officer spoke to the mother and advised her of her options.

DEC. 31

Disorderly conduct. An officer observed a boy urinating behind the Jordan Fire Department, 501 N. Varner St. The 11-year-old boy was taken to his home and released to his parents, who were advised of the incident.

LAKE ELMO

DEC. 30

Suspicious activity. A low-flying aircraft was reported flying in the area of the 11000 block of 44th Street. Information from the Federal Aviation Administration indicated it was doing a routine survey of the Lake Elmo airport.

LAKELAND

DEC. 27

Suspicious activity. Authorities received a report of suspicious activity underneath the Interstate 94 bridge at Quixote Avenue. The complainant sent photos she had taken of a vehicle parked with a license plate altered with black electrical tape. Other deputies were alerted about the vehicle.

LAKEVILLE

WEEK OF JAN. 10-16

Property damage. An officer responded to a report of property damage in the parking lot at Life Time fitness, 18425 Dodd Blvd. Two men were arguing over a parking space and one of them kicked the side mirror off the other man's vehicle. The man agreed to pay for the damage.

MAPLEWOOD

JAN. 10

Suspicious activity. An SUV parked behind the Burlington Coat Factory, 1729 Beam Av., sped off suddenly as an officer on routine patrol drove toward it. Another officer attempted to stop the vehicle on Hwy. 61 but ended pursuit after it was apparent the vehicle would not stop. It was determined the SUV was likely a getaway vehicle for two women inside the store whose behavior, store security believed, was consistent with someone attempting to shoplift. They exited after approximately three hours in the store, leaving a cart of merchandise they'd selected inside. One of the women was arrested on warrants out of Dakota, Olmsted and Pine counties.

NEW BRIGHTON

JAN. 1

Weapon. Police arrested a 30-year-old man for reckless discharge of a firearm after responding to a report of a disturbance and possible gunshot heard in the 1200 block of NW. 10th Street.

PLYMOUTH

JAN. 3

Drugs. A 63-year-old Coon Rapids man was arrested for possession of a controlled substance following a traffic stop in the 13700 block of Annapolis Lane.

JAN. 6

Theft. Two Jet Skis were stolen from a parking lot in the 3600 block of Lancaster Lane.

PRIOR LAKE

JAN. 8

Drugs. A 32-year-old man was arrested for possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, receiving stolen property, providing false information to police, possession of hypodermic needles and three Hennepin County warrants at Mystic Lake Casino, 2400 Mystic Lake Blvd.

RAMSEY

DEC. 27

Dispute. An officer responded to a report of a neighbor dispute in the 7000 block of NW. 170th Trail. The caller said the neighbor was using a snowblower and hitting the caller's tree and wanted the officer to speak with the neighbor. The officer spoke with the neighbor about snow hitting the neighbor's tree.
