Twin Cities Marathon/TC 10 Mile details

When: Sunday, 10-mile race starts at 6:54 a.m., marathon at 7:55 a.m.

Where: Starts near U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, ends near State Capitol in St. Paul.

Weather: Forecast calls for temperatures in the mid-50s and a 50 percent chance of rain.

Entries: Marathon 10,000; TC 10 Mile 12,500.

Marathon purse: $69,500.

Marathon favorites, men: Dominic Ondoro, 30, Kenya, two-time defending champion, set course record last year at 2 hours, 8 minutes, 51 seconds. Elisha Barno, 32, Kenya, was runner-up the past two years and winner of the past three Grandma's Marathons.

Marathon favorites, women: The top three runners from 2016 return: Jane Kibii, 32, Kenya, won after being second in 2015. Sarah Kiptoo, 26, Kenya, is the record holder at Grandma's Marathon; and Serkalem Abrha, 30, Ethiopia, won in 2015.

TC 10-mile purse: (U.S. national championship) $96,950. Winners get $12,000. There is a $10,000 equalizer bonus to the male or female USATF 10 mile champion who finishes first. The equalizer time is 6 minutes, 18 seconds.

TC 10-mile favorites, men: Leonard Korir, 30, Colorado Springs, Colo., a 2016 Olympian at 10,000 meters; Tim Ritchie, 30, Boston, third last year; Martin Hehir, 24, Flagstaff, Ariz.

TC 10-mile favorites, women: Aliphine Tuliamuk, 27, Santa Fe, N.M., was runner-up last year and leads the USATF road racing circuit standings. Sara Hall, 34, Big Bear, Calif.; Natosha Rogers, 26, Littleton, Colo., the USATF half-marathon champion. Defending champion Jordan Hasay, who won the equalizer, is not running.
