A man from the Twin Cities was found unresponsive early Sunday in a downtown hotel pool and was soon pronounced dead, authorities said.
Alcohol appears to have played a role in the death of the 22-year-old from Newport, according to the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office.
He was discovered about 1:15 a.m. in a pool at the Radisson Hotel on W. Superior Street, authorities say.
The man's identity has yet to be released.
The high-rise Radisson in Duluth opened roughly 47 years ago and is known for its distinctive round shape and rotating top-floor restaurant.
