To commemorate the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, leaders from more than 12 different Twin Cities faith communities will offer words of consolation and hope at a special ceremony at the state capitol.

Government leaders, including Gov. Mark Dayton, and other elected officials, members of law-enforcement, military, firemen and EMS personnel are expected to attend and will represent those who serve, during the event scheduled for Sept. 11, from 2 to 4 p.m.

Participating musicians and artists include Brother Ali, Larry Long, Sheila Ray Charles, and Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theatre. Music director Scott Winters will direct an all-volunteer orchestra made up of some of the area's top classical musicians.
