Lions, puppets, oh my

Artists from the Twin Cities Asian Pacific communities invite families for a day of artistic fun at the Minnesota Historical Society's family day. Make a dragon puppet and learn what it takes to be a Chinese lion dancer. Join in a parade with the steps you have learned. View performances and displays featuring organizations that represent the Chinese, Indian, Japanese and Hmong communities. (Noon-4 p.m. Sat. $6-$12. Minnesota History Center, 345 W. Kellogg Blvd., St. Paul. 651-259-3000. mnhs.org.)
