TV spins on its exes

This week's announcement that TLC's "Jon & Kate Plus 8" will be called "Kate Plus Eight" after the reality-TV couple's split apparently didn't make Jon Gosselin happy. (He ordered the show to stop filming the kids, saying it was "not healthy," but Kate Gosselin implied that he didn't like the name change.) But it got us thinking about what to rename shows new and old if they lost a significant other:

"Glee" becomes "Glum" after Mr. Schuester leaves his singing students to go on tour as the manager of a boy band.

"Desperate Housewives" becomes "Desperate Divorcees" after a score of scandalous affairs and an awkward attempt at spouse-swapping on Wisteria Lane.

"Everybody Loves Raymond" becomes "Everybody Hates Raymond" after Ray is caught on camera making out with a New York Knicks cheerleader and Debra kicks him out.

"King of Queens" becomes "Queen of Queens" after Carrie beats Doug in a pie-eating contest and moves in with neighbor Lou Ferrigno.

"Mad Men" becomes "Mad Women" after Don's philandering gets to be entirely too much for wife Betty and co-worker Joan.

"How I Met Your Mother" becomes "How I Ditched Your Mother" after the producers pull a fast one on viewers before ever explaining the original title.
