King of the Turf

Get a sneak preview of comic Wyatt Cenac's appearance Thursday at the Turf Club with "Wyatt Cenac: Brooklyn," a stand-up special featuring the former writer for "The Daily Show With Jon Stewart" and "King of the Hill." Cenac also served as the film's director. Now streaming on Netflix.

Slam dunk

Actor Michael Rapaport turns his love for New York into a documentary for the excellent series "30 For 30." In "When the Garden Was Eden," the "Justified" cast member reflects back to the early '70s, when the New York Knicks dominated the NBA. Phil Jackson and Earl "The Pearl" Monroe are among those sharing their memories. 8 p.m. ESPN

Head games

"Real Sports With Bryant Gumbel" investigates the relationship between head trauma and violent crimes in this new episode. Also featured: a profile on blind athlete Erik Weihenmayer and a look at salaries in minor-league baseball. Make sure to stick around until the very end, when Gumbel provides what are usually insightful, unflinching editorials. 9 p.m. HBO
