Swamp things

Maybe purchasing swampland isn't such a ripoff after all. "Buying the Bayou" (9 p.m. Saturday, Destination America) looks at the Gulf Coast's unique homes and properties, including alligator farms, converted fishing boats and catfish camps. Great, but are they within walking distance of a Starbucks?

Old love

Derek Jacobi and Anne Reid are terrific actors, but even they can't save you from nodding off during "Last Tango in Halifax" (7 p.m. Sunday, KTCA, Ch. 2), a dramedy about two widowed people who reunite after 60 years thanks to some modern-day contraption called the computer.

Family matters

Who was the first choice to play Jay Dunphy? Find out the answer to this pop-culture nugget during "E! Special: 'Modern Family'" (8 p.m., Sunday, E!), a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of one of TV's finest sitcoms. Among the features: bloopers and never-before-seen footage.
