* Start a fire

The fact that Rob Lowe is playing John F. Kennedy in an upcoming movie has us reflecting on his stint as president of the Brat Pack. See the group, which includes Emilio Estevez, Demi Moore and Ally Sheedy, as they go where the eagle's flyin' higher and higher in 1985's "St. Elmo's Fire" (7 p.m., Sundance).

Body (of students) heat

An Oscar-nominated actress puts her teacher's hat on for "Kathleen Turner: A YoungArts Master Class" (7:30 p.m., HBO Family), a program that first aired in May. Lesson 1: Develop a husky voice by smoking cigarettes, guzzling whiskey and yelling at Michael Douglas in some tropical location.

Just plain folk

Stephen Colbert considers himself quite the musician, but let's see if he can keep up with folk legend John Prine, who makes his way to "The Colbert Report" (10:30 p.m., Comedy). Prine's not scheduled to be in the Twin Cities anytime soon, but he will hit Cedar Rapids on Sept. 14. Worth the trip.
