Reopening the studio

With the "Real Housewives" all but taking over Bravo, it's been nearly impossible to find new episodes of the last classy series the network has left. So treasure this fresh installment of "Inside the Actors Studio" (7 p.m., Bravo), in which Jake Gyllenhaal talks about climbing "Brokeback Mountain," surviving "The Day After Tomorrow" and capturing the soul of "Bubble Boy."

Electric train

Jon Voight has made some real stinkers in his career (his latest, "Getaway," is getting some of the year's worst reviews), but let's give him credit for turning up the heat on Showtime's "Ray Donovan" and giving a chilling performance in 1985's "Runaway Train" (7 p.m., Sundance), an underrated gem that plays out like a grown-up version of "Speed."

Brave adventure

"Valerie's Story: A Meredith Vieira Special" (9 p.m., KARE, Ch. 11) documents Valerie Harper's fight against a rare, supposedly terminal cancer that she appears to be beating. We expect nothing less from our dear Rhoda.
