King for a day

Seems like Billie Jean King never stops breaking new ground. Her profile on "American Masters" (7 p.m., KTCA, Ch. 2) marks the first time in 27 years that the show is featuring a sports figure. King pays back the honor with candid reflections on her career. Hillary Clinton, Chris Evert and Elton John are all on the eclectic guest list.

Best seat in the house

Hoxie Homes and Remodeling, a northern Minnesota-based crew that builds high-end bathrooms, is the star of "King of Thrones" (9 p.m., Destination America), a new series that turns your potty into a palace. Among the first challenges: building a portable latrine for a die-hard ice fisherman.

Get your motor runnin'

Season 6 of "Sons of Anarchy" (9 p.m., FX) opens with Jax (Charlie Hunnam) clearly in charge — but just how long can that last? "SOA," after all, is never quiet for too long. Among this season's guest stars: C.C.H. Pounder, Drea de Matteo and Donal Logue.
